That is not true. My cousin looks awful in pictures, and sometimes you can't even say it's her. But she is very attractive in real life. Many people told me I look better in real life than in pictures as well (although I dunno if what I see in the mirror is how people see me). On the other side, there are some people who look decent/okay in real life but extremely gorgeous in pictures. I guess it depends on the person.
