This is how American politics work. The party that holds the white house tends be walloped in the mid-terms; especially during a second term. You also have to take into account that young and minority voters(a huge block of the Dems coalition) don't vote in large numbers during midterms. And old and rural voters(a large block of the GOP coalition) make up a larger percentage of the electorate during m.t elections

This! People don't even have a valid reason for hating him. The only thing that he can improve on is when it comes to foreign affairs. Otherwise, he helped the US to be back on the come up
