It's an issue of wording, intent, context, and meaning - what she said on the surface might have been alarming, but digging deeper, especially when considering that Meghan has almost definitely struggled with body image issues given the themes of her songs and content of interviews, paints a little different picture. She chose her words poorly, but looking at this thread some people are acting as though she said and meant something absolutely horrible.

Meghan had a wrong choice of words. She is obviously early in her career and not media trained. Stop picking on her to make yourself look like a "spokesperson" for eating disorders.

Nnnn Demi Meghan didn't mean it the way you said it, I understand what she was trying to say that it takes a lot of determination to starve yourself just to lose a couple of pounds, she did mention how serious is this disease so she wasn't ignoring it. Every girl goes through that in life, I did it, you know trying to starve herself for a couple of days so you can lose some weight because you have this party you need to go to and the dress need to fit perfectly but some girls like Demi go through it all and do extreme things & become a disease, others realize that it's stupid and isn't right for their bodies.
