not really, gender is forced on us from birth. this recent trend of gender= any personality trait you think is unique to you is pretty ridiculous. if you dont identify with the gender roles attributed to your sex, that doesnt necessarily make you 'agender'...

Biological sex is different from the social construct gender. The OP isn't asking about sex, as you can clearly see. Moreover, if they were, you're still wrong. It is possible to have extra or less sex chromosomes than typical. An individual with XXY (instead of XX or XY) doesn't fit into male or female biological sex categorizations.

These constructs, social especially, are inefficient and don't reflect reality.

there are many people who are genderqueer, if anybody identifies with being genderqueer its not something we should be trying to work out if its "real" or not, its real to these people and thats whats important

I think genderqueer people/communities have found it much harder to gain the same ground as sexuality has because gender is probably the most pervasive social construct, majority of people can't imagine themselves without it - it informs how we think, how we relate to everyone around us, objects, colours - kinda scary

edit: chromosomal abnormalities have nothing to do with gender, thats still biological sex

Individuals with XXY show phenotypes that lie within the male-female spectrum. Biological male and female physical sex characteristics based on chromosomes are not hard-fast. It's inaccurate to say that everybody is biologically male or female. Typical? sure. but it's not good enough. Most scientists understand that. The public likes to twist around science for their own needs though
