Mostly after but sometimes before. It makes sense as to why you should was them before. Your hands are touching so many things with bacteria and germs. We're lucky that a lot of that stuff doesn't effect our anacondas.
Oh and I CANNOT touch the door knob when I'm leaving the bathroom. I use a paper-towel. Just think of how many people don't wash their hands and you're touching the door knob after them
