Azealia did great. She dropped at the end of the week with zero buzz, zero promo, zero hits on the radio. People coming in her dragging her for it should stfu.

Debut albums from people with actual hits on the billboard do worse or not much better than Azealia. Considering her being dragged by everyone in the media, no label, no promo and a surprise release on one format. Like bye How many ''indie albums'' do better than that. Not many I'd imagine. She is likely never going to sell much more than this first week for the following albums, barring some anomaly and she actually gets a hit. Her fans need to come to turns with the fact that she is content with not being a big star. I can't believe people are still disappointed.

None of these are good things. The sales are bad. You can come up with explanations as to why bad sales are to be expected, but at the end of the day, they are still really bad sales.

But at the same time, no one should've expected Azealia to do any big numbers. The sales are bad, indeed, but there were no circumstances that would make it seem like she should've done better.

Azealia Banks opens with 11k (in four days with just a digital release) without any prior radio single or live performances.

Yet people still want to drag. Ok.

No, she's not, but over 20% of her sales were reported at a different time, which goes against this theory that one source is reported all at once. Something that people still seem to be confused about, for some reason.

The people dragging her clearly don't know anything about acts that aren't made for a mainstream audience I'm pretty sure this opened with less than M.I.A.'s latest studio album which is definitely saying something.
