A source tells Confidenti@l that returning New York Housewife Bethenny Frankel and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” diva NeNe Leakes both wanted to be able to say they are the highest-paid Bravo Housewife.
“Bethenny is getting paid just as much as NeNe, which is $250,000 an episode,” says our network insider. “NeNe is now pissed because she took time off from other projects to film the new season, and she was the highest paid of all the Housewives, until Bethenny was in negotiations to come back.”
We also hear that while Frankel was denying a possible return to the reality franchise last month, she was deep in money negotiations — and her number one request was to be the number one paid cast member.
“She makes more than all of the other women, but she also brings the ratings, which have not been great the past few seasons,” says our source. “Listen, if she can get it, why not ask for it?”
At the same time, Frankel publicly said she hadn’t signed anything with the cable network, even though they’d been asking her to “come back for years.”
RHNYC is going to flop anyways. Betheny was never the main attraction her season, and she won't bring the viewers they think she will.

I think she only does this so Andy will get scared and pay her more, but Andy is a smart business man and can call her bluff. She's been saying this for years and hasn't even left.

RHONYC3 was basically the Bethenny show! And if she wasn't the star how did she go from being broke on Bravo to building a 120 million dollar business? She wasn't only the star of NYC but she's the biggest star Bravo's ever produced.
I agree she may not bring the drama and not a whole lot of viewers back to RHONYC but she's definitely one of the greats.

I think Andy will put up with Nene's diva demands for season 8 and then let her go. The fact that RHOA got 4 mill on Sunday with Phaedra being the focus shows that they don't need Nene to succeed.
Unlike RHONJ which basically thrives off of Teresa and no one else, the RHOA girls all contribute a lot to the show.
Bethenny is all sorts of slay. I hope to god RHONY picks it up. It was always my fav of the franchise but that last season was the pits. I wish they brought back Jill and Kelly as well. The original cast was phenomenal. Even that skeleton, Alex.

They were truly a sisterhood. Would tear each other apart one minute and laugh together with love the next. They also seemed to organically spend time with one another which is something I don't like about all the current casts, even RHOAs. They have to be forced to film together.
