+ I rather have a physical CD in my hands than nothing. Especially when it's an asian CD cuz they put effort in their releases. The US industry needs to step up their game and make albums more interesting tbh. No one needs a CD with a 5 sites booklet. I think that people would buy more music if they get something more for their money.

Not many have complained about it to this point. Taylor is the first major artist to do so (and Aldean to a lesser extent but he hasn't really publicly campaigned against streaming the way Taylor has).

300,444,740 streams = $2,103,000

Even if 70% of that money went to the promoters, there's still $631,000 left.

The total number of people involved in the writing and production of WMU is 6 (Avicii, Aloe Blacc, Aileen Quinn, Mike Einziger, Arash Pournouri, and Mike Shinoda).

631,000 / 6 = $105,000 per writer/producer

And that's assuming only 30% of the money went to the writers and producers!

Spotify is bringing in millions from artists work being on Spotify. If the artists don't put their work on it then Spotify can't sustain itself. Hell it can sustain itself now. LMAO!

I hope you realize that putting music "out there" for free doesn't mean that artists/songwriters/producers won't be monetarily rewarded for their work.

Fact of the matter is that Taylor is slaying albums and singles charts left and right. I am sure she is not regretting that decision one little bit. Ek is just bothered they are not getting piece of the pie.
