Whoa, cut that out saying the attacker is a "coward" implies the gays are weak and can't defend themselves, like women or kittens. Let's not contribute to stereotypes.
Attacking anyone physically, if it's not in self defense, is a cowardly thing to do. He is a coward for attacking someone who was minding their own business. He is a coward for being homophobic. What does a person attacking an innocent civilian for no reason have to do with the stereotype that "women and kittens" can't defend themselves? You're the only one in here perpetuating that stereotype.

Homophobia is ignorance, not cowardice.

you're right, it IS gross, whether you're gay, straight, or purple.
BUT wtf, it's NOT his fault he got punched. it's obnoxious to kiss someone in public, but to punch someone for it? it wouldn't have happened if it were a straight couple.
Not necessarily. A person can be well educated and informed about Homosexuality and still hate homosexuals. While many homophobes are ignorant about homosexuality, that doesn't define the entire population of homophones.
On the other hand, all homophobes are indeed cowards. Not being able to handle people being different from you and responding in fear and hate just because you don't agree makes you a coward.

That's just lack of logic and reasoning. People have been homophobic and intolerant all throughout history, they were all "cowards" I guess?
Intolerance =/= cowardice. You're just forcing a negative label on something you don't like, whether it actually fits or not.
