''Annie'' will for sure be #1 too.
meanwhile the masterpiece 12 years a slave never saw that number,
and ''Belle'' flopped too despite being great.
people really have no taste.
at least ''Misogyniystellar'' is flopping, so there's that.
this is one of my fave movies ever, but Andrew Garfield and Carey Mulligan wiped the floor with Keira acting wise. just like Michael Assbender and Viggo Morwhatever did in that movie. or James Mcavoy and Saoirse Ronan in Atonement. the only was she can be decent is if she sorounds herself with bad actors or actors who look like lizards.
but don't get me wrong, Natalie Portman is awful too. that's why she did nothing of note after winning an Oscar. I am convinced the Academy gives all these bad actresses Oscar so they can be done with them and don't have to watch them in anything again.
It's a pretty impressive gimmick tbh tho. It's looking more and more likely to become the winner since every other movie is kinda flopping. Unbroken is our last hope. Come through, Angelina.
It's better than any other winner of the past 6(?) years. I don't know why you would say different but it's a kii you do.
I'm going to see Notwinningthechartstellar with the boyfriend in an hour though. I have a soft spot for ambitious films that people tear apart, like Aronofsky's The Fountain, so I have a feeling I will like it. Will let you all know.
But yes, Boyhood is better than any Best Picture winner of the 2010s. It would have been different if Gravity or Black Swan won, but they did not, and the only film to come close is The Artist.
I don't consider gimmicks bad things inherently. Otherwise I would not be stanning for Lady Gaga.
I mant the fact that you were hoping Angeina to come through out of all people with a boring war-drama bait. It's not set yet anyway, though it is indeed getting likelier by the day.
Boyhood is easily better than Gravity and Black Swan.

I thought she was impressive in Never Let Me Go. I saw her in a different light and was impressed with her characterizations and the horrifying pain of dying alone she conveyed. She is not perfect, and stumbles often, but she is growing and trying.
Vanessa Redgrave is the MVP of Atonement btw. Poor Saoirse Ronan.

"Annie" looks like a likeable, white movie that just happens to star blacks in main roles. It's not a black movie made specifically for blacks like "Beyond The Lights" or "No Good Deeds." Of course, the whites from the red states won't watch "Annie" because Annie isn't Caucasian with red hair, but it will still be #1. Meanwhile, I'm really pleased "Interstellar" is getting trashed and underperforming. No$tradamus called it months ago.

Well, I was mainly referring to American Sniper and Selma screening badly and I don't like watching films flop. Considering I am personally rooting for Into The Woods to get at least the nomination, my taste is probably not going to be well liked here lol.
American Sniper NEEDS to fail. if Bottomley Cooper gets a third nom in a row I will throw up.
btw Allstar you ruined the guess the movie thread! I put the pic from Alice in Wonderland and you said it was Marie Antoinette and just kept going lmao
