Whitney Houston 1991 (age 28) - perfectflawlessperfectflawess Large, open, resonant, free sound. Pitch perfect and perfect timing. Excellent use of dynamics. Excellent breath control. Riffs were tasteful and not excessive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYQ0eBGMo3w
Aaliyah 1995 (age 16) - Too much breathing, like, everywhere - the phrases seemed disconnected. I noticed two moments where she was slightly pitchy. Her timing fluctuated too much. She basically sang like a nervous 16 year-old, which I'll excuse, because she was indeed nervous and 16. Chris Brown 2010 (age 21) - Horrible placement: Horizontal, constricted and nasally sound. Some pitchiness. Bad timing. His riffs were also hella cute, but very excessive and not tasteful, so not as cute as Aaliyah's.
