A lot of her songs are hits, just not in the way that ya'll choose to see them.

People first and foremost see Nicki as a female rapper, and it's already harder for rap artists to get 'hits' by pop music standards let alone the female ones. The exception being if you want to take the Iggy Azalea route and create a song that has so much pop-crossover appeal that it essentially becomes a pop song in it's duration on the chart. The trade off with that is: not a lot of people truly see Iggy as a female rapper but as more of a Ke$ha or a Flo Rida. People don't look to 'Fancy' or 'Black Widow' for rap, they do it because they're cute turn up jams with pop-esque choruses and pop-inclined production.

Pills N Potions, in all of it's pop sounding glory is still more of a rap song than just about anything on The New Classic. That isn't a dig at Iggy Azalea, it's just stating that Iggy has chosen to go for a more digestible, radio friendly route and it has obviously paid off for her. Nicki isn't ~quite~ doing the same.

Listen, I stan Nicki, and all three songs are borderline horrible and don't show off her lyricism at ALL. I really think she has lost her way this era and it's sad to me. I still have hope for the Pinkprint tho so we will see.
