How on earth is that terrible?
Y'all treat it like a big budget blockbuster, it was a damn documentary about a musician who isn't a cute teenage boy with a rabid tween fanbase, it's numbers are not even slightly bad. The bulk of Katy's fanbase is too old for that.
It trebled it's budget and became one of the biggest music documentaries of all time when it was released, there's literally nothing else you can expect of it. If a blockbuster opened on par with its budget it would have the biggest opening weekend of all time. Movies don't do that.
