In any case, I agree with Bill Maher. Lady Gaga is using Tony Bennett to seem relevant. Other major publications have said this, including Forbes. It's not an outlandish statement. Gaga has to find some way to keep herself interesting and relevant to the general public because her music is rarely capable of being interesting or relevant to the general public -- it's her tactics that "keep her interesting and relevant." And using Tony Bennett as a "career detour" to have a little media buzz is just another tactic in a long list of Gaga tactics. This is nothing new.
