I used to like his music. Wide Open was pretty great, but ever since then his music hasn't been very good, and as of recently it's been pure garbage. He is a fan of Taylor's. basically questioned the ACAs credibility in an interview because the biggest superstar in country music (Taylor) wasn't in attendance. I like how he stood up for her, but, I cannot get over what he did to his family

I didn't know about his family, sorry to hear that, but you can feel he loves Taylor, many videos showed that, for this reason, I give him a pass. On Spotify problem, we need more support. Every musician will benefit from the possible change if happens. They will have more money to make better music, so eventually fans will benefit from it as well. Streaming earns money in the name of fans on the expense of musicians who are the most important aspect for music industry and its future, I think.

After listening to the whole album 1989 soooo many times, I will add something to Taylor's quote that 1989 is her most favorite album: I'm sure she also had the most fun making it. Making this whole album was fun fun fun. In this mode, she's undefeatable, hope she is always like this.

Taylor is like so cheeky and snarky whereas Lorde is so dark and broody so I could never compare the two of them.

I will NOT let out Lorde's influence on 1989, even though obviously Taylor controls all her music, but there are so many different influences including Lorde, on 1989, especially melody, this is Taylor's first official POP album anyway. But nobody has the full influence on it, even not MM, like what The Guardian review said, on the contrary, Taylor influenced MM and created such a surprisingly great album. Jack Antonoff also described Taylor's influence on his music during a interview. Influences are mutual.

God, why can't She be original for once? I'm tired of all these comparisons to other artists. Has anyone taken queues from Her dicog? Tired of people insinuating that She rips off other artists.

Edit: I also recommend CLEAN my number two favorite on 1989 , according to Imogen Heap, Taylor wrote nearly all of it.

Edit2: I also recommend OUT OF THE WOODS my number three favorite on 1989, which Taylor described as the first song that she had written to an existing track.

Edit3: I also recommend BLANK SPACE my number four favorite on 1989, the most fun song Taylor wrote (obviously MM is too old to make this kind of fun song by himself), besides SHAKE IT OFF another fun song MM would not make without Taylor.

If this base was more dead, I should have written Edit4 (my record is edit 7 or 8? when this base was super dead before August) about BAD BLOOD my number 5 favorite on 1989, in which she showed her confidence very well.

Edit: I have a very strange feeling: 1989 as a POP ALBUM, has the similar structure with BAD BLOOD as a POP SONG.
