I just found this song on I-tunes under the free song of the week. It's really good and I think that some of you might enjoy it.
Erin McCarley - Pony (It's Ok)
Lyrics to Pony :
You hold your head up to the sky
You say what kind of blue are you? Are you?
Then you ride your pony 'round and 'round
It’s diggin’ a hole, right through, right through
You stumble down a yellow brick road,
Spinning your shoes in the air, the air.
Then you, hold your breath, and count to nine,
Hoping that soon somebody will find you, find you,
Go on, go on, go on, the stars are watching,
Just say, just say, just say, what you’re feeling,
You know, you know, you know, you gotta take a bow and do it your way,
It’s okay-ay, ladadadadadadadada, it’s okay-ay, ladadadadadadadada
You’re 15 miles over the speed,
You’re going fast as you can after your daydream
Ohh
I might get sad, hurried away
Or have a serious talk with your, champaigne.
Go on, go on, go on, the stars are watching,
Just say, just say, just say, what you’re feeling,
You know, you know, you know, you gotta take a bow and do it your way,
It’s okay-ay, ladadadadadadadada, it’s okay-ay, ladadadadadadadada
It’s time for you to prove,
Within your ruby shoes
You deserve a smile with no regret,
Look at you,
Kicking off your shoes,
Dancing for the world to see,
You got the power to believe,
Open up and see,
And I’ll be free and fly away-aaayyy,
Go on, go on, go on, the stars are watching,
Just say, just say, just say, what you’re feeling,
You know, you know, you know, you gotta take a bow and do it your way,
It’s okay-aaaayyy, ladadadadadadadada, it’s okay-aaaayyy, ladadadadadadadada
It’s okay-aaaayyy, ladada ladada, it’s okay-aaaayyy, ladadadadadadadada
Just downloaded it, and she sounds like Kate Voegele/Marie Digby/Regina Spektor/Yael Naim/Alanis Morrisette/Sara Bareilles all rolled into one (?).
Well I'm hoping that you like her. If you really want the song you can go to I-Tunes right now and get the song for free, it's one of the free singles of the week!
Yes... she has been featured 2-3 times on Grey's Anatomy. "Pitter-Pat" was the ending song to an episode called "The Flood" this season and as soon as I heard it (and the artist was posted on the GA site), I downloaded it immediately.
I don't think she is necessarily going to be a huge radio artist but it's nice to see her get some recognition.

I didn't know that she had been featured on Grey's Anatomy, but that's great. I did watch the Flood episode, but I didn't know her at that time.
I really don't see her being a huge star, but that's okay. I'll embrace her and try and buy her album if I can find it.
