Coldplay's success in the "Rock Quadrant" (includes Active Rock, Alternative Rock, Mainstream/Heritage Rock. and Triple A Rock) has been limited to Alternative Rock and Triple A. The Foo Fighters have had success at all for of the Rock sub-formats.

The Foo Fighters are bigger when limiting the discussion to Rock, but Coldplay has more crossover success.

Personally, I think that is because Top 40 is too much of a wimp to play real Rock music, and even the Foo Fighters are struggling a bit on Alternative right now since that format has gone so Pop, and the Foo Fighters have remained Rock (which I applaud them for).

I am assuming since Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive" is still in the Top 200 with 7.388 + million downloads and Robin Thicke/Pharrell/T.I.'s "Blurred Lines" is nowhere to be seen "Radioactive" must have taken the lead over "Blurred Lines".

I had thought "Radioactive" would not get past 7.5 million downloads. However, since the single is still selling 6,000 to 8,000 downloads a week and in the top 150 of the Top 200, it will go over 7.5 million by next spring. I do not know how far over 7.5 million the song can go though, or if "Radioactive" could ever get into that exclusive 8 million download club.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Radioactive has already passed Blurred Lines in digital downloads, but the former's total is aided by the Lamar remix (which sold an approximate 200K.) I think BL still has a slim lead if the remix wasn't counted.

taylor should atleast put her current single on spotify if not the entire album it kind of hurts her charting potential...

The majority of those are in small categories though
Metacritic is fair because every album is compared by the same critics and averaged out rather than separated into genres
