I can understand to an extent.
The only ones I've seen so far are Avengers, Hulk + Incredible Hulk and Captain America (first one.) Not really interested in a lot of the rest other than Guardians of the Galaxy. Cap is on it's own level for me, though, it actually has a nice story and isn't all just action and explosions. Avengers was amazing as well, even though I didn't even see the movies from most of the individual characters. Still gotta watch The Winter Soldier (I still have it in my laptop right now, from Netflix, waiting to be watched after 3 weeks
) but it seems way better than Maleficent would be.
