Yeah, I think it all boils down to the fact that with her under a conservatorhip they can manage her finances and make sure she generates a continuous source of income (whether it be through albums, tours, products etc). I think if it were up to Britney, she would drop it all, and that scares the living **** out of the people who are leeching off of her. But, I could be underestimating Britney and I know that she probably wants to maintain her standard of living and she does want/need money to do that, so it's not as one-sided as it seems.
Nonetheless, fans will interpret this as Britney being a glorified cash cow, but that's the case for every Pop star and it's nothing to be as ashamed of. None of them have truly dropped everything to live the simple life and none of them ever will. They're too deep into it and they've made so much money and fame... they'll always find a way to bring in the $ and the same goes for Britney. Fans talk about her retiring and what not, but that's not gonna happen. Britney perhaps will have a hiatus of sorts following the Vegas stint, but I don't see her going away for at least another ten years. Because once this stint is over, there will be an album or a tour or and then after that there'll be another residency or another album... It's a constant cycle and I believe her when she says she's got at least another 8 albums left in her. She's young and it's not over for Ms. American Dream.
That spiraled out of topic.

The point still stands: she doesn't deserve a c-ship. Quite frankly it's unconstitutional.
I'm actually surprised her situation hasn't garnered more coverage. I mean, for her to have since gone on two world tours, become a judge on a national singing competition, endorse several commercial products, headline a Vegas residency (not to mention contributing to the writing process of her 3 studio albums and then dealing with the subsequent promo), and yet she's legally deemed INCOMPETENT?? How does a lawyer, or judge not look at her case and be like 'the fuq?'
