2012 was a terrible year for her outside of Starships + expanding her global brand. Her image took a major negative dive. She's recovered greatly, but even now, I still don't think she'll be fully recovered in terms of her credibility until she delivers a high-quality, critically acclaimed album.
Which is sad because she was on fire with the Pink Friday debut era, I remember so many people stanning her and playing her album tracks, not just her singles.
I just read on Wiki that the Piece of Me video cost $500k...how? It seems pretty cheap tbh. I was surprised it won all those awards at the 2008 VMAs. It's a good video but not even one of her best.
