That was probably the dumbest comment ever, and I'm not even mad about it but rather sad that you're not educated. Uncivilized? Have you been there? Do you think people there really are for stoning, getting prisoned for taking care of animals etc? Like really?

This, especially as a gay man im glad that im american. I don't think there is anything ignorant about it, I try my best to educate myself about what people in countries like Iran face, therefore making myself more appreciative that I dont live in a society that would jail or kill me for something I had no control over.

It's really sad that things like receiving lashes are still a thing in this modern age, and even more idiotic to have such beliefs upon the animal kingdom. They are worried about cleanliness while their holy book is filled with inhumane verses. Religion will never cease to be absurd.

Sometimes I just wish we'd have a world war with these Sharia Law countries and finally kill off the evil powers behind them once and for all.
Sis, Iran is not a democracy. The laws of the government do not represent the sentiment of the people.

I am all for throwing slurs at their government, though. Anybody willing to treat people (especially women) and animals like that deserves the worst.

The government in Iran is outdated – it represented what the people wanted thirty years ago when they wanted to overthrow the Shah, but the people are quickly growing tired of it, I believe. There needs to be another revolution tbh. The president of Iran butts heads with Ali Khamenei a lot, from what I've learned.

Get out of here. Persia/Mesopotamia was one of if not the earliest known civilization. The only reason the country is a mess now is because theocratic assholes took advantage of the people after the revolution.
