Ellie Goulding reacts to 'offensive' Native American headdress comments
Ellie Goulding has responded to criticism after she wore a Native American headdress. The singer was accused of ignorance and racism after posting two photographs of herself wearing the headdress on Instagram.
She unveiled the images while performing in Puerto Rico last week, before some users responded with negative messages. Glastonbury have banned Native American headdresses being sold at the festival, while Pharrell Williams was recently criticised for wearing one for a magazine shoot, due to anger at non-Native Americans taking away their cultural and spiritual backgrounds.
