Judging from the many gays I've met on Atrl, a lot are misogynist and loathe straight men because they have a great struggle with self-acceptance.

If she wants to sound intelligent then she shouldn't make such huge generalizations particularly when addressing a minority. Her reality of the situation is actually quite the opposite to mine, so it's kind of frustrating for me when she makes such bold claims like that and asserts it as a fact - while she apparently 'knows so many' gay guys that are that undermine gender equality, I (as a gay man) know virtually none (sans the internet trolls).

Anyway, I would agree with her if she acknowledged that the problem is exists amongst SOME gay men. And the fact that she's differentiating gay men from straight men for the sake of her claims is ignorant, but that's another story.

1.) The treatment of women. Online music forums are the embodiment of that. Look at the rats that infest SYG.
2.) Not supporting those who supported us. That's SOOOO much of the trans community's issue with us. They supported us the whole way and, as a collective, we are not there for them.
3.) Excluding lesbians.

There's truth to what she says. Some of those attitudes come from straight people, like looking down on feminine gays. You can't really fix one without fixing the other.

It's sad. I assume a lot of these members are young and probably don't know gay people outside of the forum so they remain ignorant just like her
