So so sad! We need better programs in place for people with mental illness. She clearly wasn't well and this could've been prevented had she gotten the help she needed. Instead, people are just going to judge her instead of help her or help others like her. I'm not condoning or excusing what she did, but there's something to be said about how our country views people with a mental illness.
Did you read the article? She tried to get help for mental illness multiple times. She asked for help with her husband and son. It doesn't excuse her actions, but maybe if she was medicated - perhaps even identified as a risk to her son - this tragedy could've been avoided.
