As someone who actually did come of age during the 90's no one outside of the tween demographic used Britney or cared about her manufactured Janet Jackson image. Pretty much equivalent to One Direction today. I can totally see Directioners 15 years from now acting like 1D was as big as the Beatles too
WTF are you talking about, Britney sold around 45-50 million albums with the first 2 albums WW, she was targeted for a lot more than tweens.
Britney's legacy at this point is untouchable. Taylor is the only one who comes close in the US to her. WW no one can be on her level ever again!
^ lmao are you kidding? i was born in 1996 and i still remember distinctly how huge britney was. everyone loved her. my sister loved her. my sister's friends loved her. everyone had all of her CDs. i love taylor but trying to deny britney's impact and popularity is just stupid
'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
Where did you live? NSync and Backstreet Boys were the 1D. Britney was the (let me not say for fear of the draggings )
I was rasied in Philadelphia. And Backstreet Boys and N'Sync had MASSIVE crossover appeal. Hence JT being relevant to the black community to this day. 1D is also regulated to just the tween demographic.
Exactly. If anything this is the best possible outcome because Taylor broke her record and Britney keeps hers. The only ones who are complaining are the Britney haters who were desperate for the record to be broken.
The important thing is that both the Swities and Army won.
Exactly. I fail to see why people needs to fight for everything

BSB yes. NSYNC never touched Britney´s sales, not inside of the US, let alone WW!
