Forgive me, but can you tell me another female artist who sold 1+million units [I]first week[/I] with 3 consecutive albums? I thought so.
Narrowly misses one record but creates one in the process. Well done Taylor!
The Swifties should be so proud of these AMAZING numbers and the fact that Taylor has set her own record for three 1 million opening weeks. I can't help but be happy that the legendary album Oops!... I Did It Again gets to hold on to its record for at least a little while longer though. The Army and Swifties both have plenty to celebrate today, and the only ones that should be fuming are the bandwagon stans that were and still are desperate for someone to break Britney's record. I hope that these sales are close to what Billboard reports because my heart can't take anymore. I have a feeling HDD was super careful because this was such a huge release (hence why it took them so long to update the final numbers), so the Billboard numbers should be the same or very close. Scott wasn't lying when he said Taylor was very close to the record.
I'm glad Taylor didn't break Britney's Record. I'm also Glad that Taylor created her own record in the process. I say her next album might break Brits record.
I would have rather her been 100k or so away instead of 2.7k away
