Major 'Scandal' Midseason Spoiler
EW confirm that the actress will reprise her role as the terrorist mother of protagonist Olivia Pope on the show's midseason finale which is set to air in the coming weeks.
The particulars on her return are being shroud in secrecy, however the last time the masses saw the destructive diva, ex husband Rowan (played by Joe Morton) had framed her for the murder of the President Fitz's son and locked her away.
Given that both Olivia and Fitz believe her to be dead, it's safe to say the resurfacing of Alexander's character will have explosive consequences.
