"Early Morning's" chorus was sung by Penelope Magnet, who was also the collaborator on "Me Against the Music" before Madonna surprised Britney with a feature. In that and HATLM, they (Moby, bleggh, and Darkchild) thought it would be better for Britney to harmonize/do ab-libs throughout the chorus and it is an artistic decision I have always hated.

I have never understood the "Toxic" allegations. Cathy Dennis does some background vocals (which she's credited for) where Britney is over her in the chorus, but I don't understand how that's someone else singing for Britney. It's like saying having background vocals means having someone sing for you and doesn't make sense to me, tbh.

I'm not referring to the bg vocals (which i have no problem with) but instead about how from the "too high can't come down..." bit and the chorus there's some parts that's clearly Britney singing, but in other parts they left Cathy Dennis vocals untouched from the demo and Britney nowhere to be heard.

I'm always surprised about the amount of people who don't know this.

Early Morning had Penelope Magnet, the original collaborator on MATM, singing the chorus while Britney did ad-libs. Moby thought that would be more artistic It and "Body Ache" are my least favorite Britney songs.

Hold It Against Me has Britney's voice. The demo was sung by Bonnie McKee and is actually online. She sounds just like Ke$ha. The blind gossip article may even be fake. Apparently they stole the whole thing from a movie that came out in the year 2000 that follows the story to a tee

A lot of artists, especially in the early 2000s, used background vocalists throughout their songs.

"Get Right" has a ton of background vocalists in it. The chorus is a mixture of several different voices. But it's only JLo on the verses.

BOTH Ashanti and Christina Milian were credited clearly in both songwriters and background vocals part, so I don't see what's the big deal
Many big stars sing parts in other artists song without needing to cited as FEAT.
For example, Madonna sings a whole verse in this and the song is not Annie Lennox ft. Madonna

Right because it's so artistic to get singers that can pass as your voice and let them sing parts of the song for you.

You're mentioning this as if it was a secret Madonna contributed her voice to it, and as if 22 other prominent female vocalists were not used for this charity single. This is hugely different than being J.Lo and having Ashanti sing for you but never making mention of it.

I've been a fan in the late 90s/very early 2000s, when Lopez was good, and I never noticed there were other female singers singing her parts...

Then you must be really naive.

When If I Had My Love smashed my dad asked who are the other two women singing with her in the song.

When I'm Gonna Be Alright smashed, my mom said the other lady singing sounds better than J.Lo.

They sound enough like her that most people do not know it wasn't her.
Don't try and pass this off as an artistic statement. There's nothing artistic about having someone else unnecessarily sing for you. If she sang it vs. if they did, there would be no artistic difference to the song.
