So 95 was the best-running OS 4 years ago?

Nah, I had 95 more than decade ago. And no, it was never the best running one. It's my only comp to EVER crash and burn completely, total hard drive failure, lost everything on it.

After that horror, I wanted something stable. So I had an XP comp, and then years later when Vista was being sold, I bought a second XP computer on downgraded license to keep from having to have Vista.

I've used some Windows 8.1 on a touch screen computer from a family member but ugh, I still hate the way it constantly fails at installing its own updates. Plus it's supposed to be all about Apps right? The comp had an error and refused to install apps. Do not want.

I will stick with 7 for as long as I can.

And I love Windows 8. I've never been more productive on an OS.

8.1 is wonderful. I do so much tech support and this is by far the easiest system to troubleshoot/support. Old driver support is excellent... and I have this system running on rigs that are 10 years old. On that note, I don't use the live tiles/metro apps at all. Sometimes I accidentally hit the windows key and I'm always like "... oh yeah... the tiles are a thing". The live tiles are a good idea but having it full screen isn't necessary, I'm glad they'll be putting it in the rejuvenated start menu now.

No one is on Windows 10 preview yet??

On a VM. But Jomarr kind of idiotically installed the preview on a productive laptop.

It's been amazing so far. There's nothing wrong with installing Windows 10 on your PC.

A lot of people do it, why can't I? It's not vulnerable and you get updates continually. I panicked a bit when you called me out but you were wrong.
