The record is for the Dreamgirls soundtrack when it sold 66k and landed at number one in January '07.
Anyways, sales this week aren't that bad, people. Of course there aren't any MASSIVE sellers in the top ten but the cut off for the top 50 was a high 12k this week. Considering almost all of last year the cut-off for the top 50 was like 9-10k, that's not bad. The rest of January will get worse though.
I was about to say, the sales aren't that bad. I mean ya'll acted like you expected them to be huge. These are better than January '08, and possibly January '07, though I don't feel like going back that far. I think it's because the albums are better, and there are more known.
