The team who look after Britney Spears have apologized for the vulgar message a hacker posted on the singer's Twitter account.

As we reported this morning, someone hacked and took over the page, posting a false message to fans that read: "Hi Y'all! Brit Brit here, just wanted to update you all on the size of my vagina. Its about 4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth."

Now a message posted on Britney's official website apologizes to fans: "Our Twitter account was hacked this morning." Reads the statement. "We apologize for any offense caused to Britney's fans and our readers."

"Everything is sorted out and there should be nothing but great Britney-related news from now on. Thank you for your understanding."
