It's meant for deer eyes, not to look good in the truck the idea is to break up the human silhouette and since the colours are neutral it fits in almost anywhere.
Nonsense, people only use that orange stuff because their local legislation requires it. Plus it makes you stand out to hunters (deer don't see colour) and stupid people can often look down their scopes to see you better (ie: they are aiming a gun at you).
