One of the most popular and controversial celebrity accounts on Instagram, Rihanna's feed went silent for nearly six months this year, leaving her more than 12 million followers in the dark. But she returned early Sunday morning with an upside-down shot of part of her face.
Rihanna's relationship with Instagram went awry in May after she posted a topless photo of herself from the cover of a French magazine, breaching the app's terms of use.
After that, she did her posting on Twitter. But she and Instagram appear to have made up recently, as suggested by the second picture she shared Sunday.
Instagram clearly seemed happy to have her back, announcing her return in a celebratory tweet (which Rihanna was magnanimous enough to retweet).
