This week, Taylor Swift sets the record for most songs to debut in a single week with more than fifty plays each (10 songs). The previous record was held by Swift, when 6 songs from 2012's
Red debuted with more than fifty plays each on the week of October 27, 2012. Beyonce nearly equalled
Red's record when 5 tracks from her self-titled album debuted with over 50 plays each on the week of December 21, 2013.
Despite being released only a week ago,
1989 is already my eighth most played album of all time, and it has surpassed Taylor's self-titled debut to become my fourth most played Taylor Swift album.
And yes, I seriously didn't listen to anyone but Taylor this week.
