Yeah but the Red tour established the demand is there. She sold out 5 O2 events and this was during Feb which was cold AND there were tube strikes messing up travel connections. There were loads of fans in the north of England/Wales and Scotland who could not travel to London at that time of year. A lot easier to do it in summer when people can get time off work or school more easily.
1989 looking to debut with impressive numbers in the UK. They were discusing it on UKMix and saying that her figures were looking to be bigger than those of Katy Perry, RIhanna, Pink and Gaga's latest releases. You could make the case she is the biggest non-domestic act in the UK right now, alongside Bruno Mars. It's all come on since the Red era.
I have no doubt she could fill a Stadium here now. The promoters would be alot more confident about it too considering the 02 dates were a great success.
