Yep. The skills of the characters are consistent and the bar is raised every episode. There is also a perfect balance between action, drama, comedy, and sci-fi

Actually Mahouka was more like a bell-shaped curve, it got better to mid season and then it got worse That character development is also nonexistent
Kyoukai no Kanta
The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half youmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai.

Actually, if you go based on the charts that were made on MAL, the interest in the anime stayed up pretty high. it didn't drop drastically like some of the popular animes some of you rave about...
I'm talking about my personal taste :P Mahouka was at its best when Tatsuya vsed the Red Crimson
Idk... The thing I liked about Mahouka is how powerful and smart Tatsuya is despite the way they introduced him. And Tatsuya was underestimated by everyone in the start of the anime, but in the end he saved his country practically by himself... Many of the people who dislike it MKR just aren't used to a shounen lead not relying on the power of friendship.
They hardly played with the theme of him being underestimated which is another thing i didnt like . also the season finale was super underwhelming which is why i said season 2 should be better because it will hopefully go somewhere this time with the family issue (and hopefully they solve the incest issue as well )
Oh please stop saying their isnt incest when there was And the action was average enjoyable although nothing amazing. Also his final attack was bland bye nothing impressive in the last episode
Incest is sexual activity between family members or close relatives.
Quote:
Sexual activity can be classified in a number of ways. It can be divided into acts which involve one person, also called autoeroticism, such as masturbation, or two or more people such as vaginal sex, anal sex, oral sex or mutual masturbation.
Now tell me at which point in the anime any of these things happened
Miyuki was just upset because Tatsuya wasn't even embarrassed by her being naked around him. It would be normal for a brother to become flustered in a situation like that, but Tatsuya does not have any emotions so it didn't phase him. It came off as an insult to Miyuki which is why she knocked him out after that scene. Is this the first time you've seen a girl tease her single brother in an anime?
