The difference between Taylor and Avril is that Avril at the start was fully committed to being the punk and rock queen so when she went pop her audience turned on her. This wont happen to Taylor since she gradually and slowly transitioned and her music always had pop elements to it. Anyway Godvil is still the best
The Lord's transition to pop was very smooth and well done. Every album from Fearless to 1989 was progressively more and more pop than its predecessor so it wasn't a complete shock to her fanbase when she completely removed country.
