Good news about the DVD and the GH from MadonnaTribe:
News about the Sticky & Sweet DVD are starting to come in. Our friends from MadonnaOnline Brazil informs us that Universal Music will be distributing the dvd, produced by Live Nation.
A tentative release date has been set approximately for March 2009.
MadonnaTribe has also heard from its sources that at the moment the dvd for the Sticky & Sweet Tour Live is being prepared as a Double Disc Release.
Previous reports also suggested Madonna's last Greatest Hits compilation owed to Warner Music is also scheduled for a release in the first quarter of 2009.
As ghastly as the Hard Candy era was at times (the album cover still causes me to shudder), I'm was so glad to see her back on top of the American charts. It was so nice to hear her back on the radio once again and I really enjoyed the Hard Candy album. My only complaint about 2008 was that she made more than a few questionable style choices, but whatever. The music was good.
Anyway, I can't wait for the DVD! March is going to be here so fast! Due to the lack of quality YouTube clips, I still have not seen many performances from S&S, and what I have seen has been so poorly filmed that it really doesn't give the whole picture of the tour. I can't wait to enjoy watching the tour in decent quality.
The green dress is hot. Great to see that Madge is starting this year off on the right note!
I'll be buying this. She should be calling her greatest hits a singles collection though, or at least for the U.S., because she's only had 3 or 4 legit hits since her last greatest hits, which is sad There's Die Another Day, American Life (sorta) Hung Up, and 4 Minutes. Worldwide she's had tons of smashes though.
I wish she would release an album of rare remixes instead of a greatest hits collection. Is there any chance that a potential greatest hits collection would include new tracks or will she not want to put any new material on it considering that it is her last warner brothers release?
