He needed to come out to help those guys who are ashamed or afraid of being themselves and having to deal with the bullshhh some ignorant and homophobic people say about them. Example look this group here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=921808. Its rather stupid that some being LGBT yet cant see why it is important to have him as a role model for the young ones and help them know they can do great things if they work towards that goal.
