Me. Pop music is at it's most shallow point right now. Gaga would never dumb herself down to Anaconda / Singing in the Shower level. And the Britney thing: how on earth would you see a collab happening between someone that hasn't sung a note in 7 years and is now known for her hairflips and Gaga that always goes all out.
Let her collab with a legend, may I remind you that he outsold her album and he holds the all-time record for greatest number of appearances at the Madison Square Garden with 64 shows. All sold out shows. If anyone has the street cred, it's him. Besides I would love another I'm Still Standing from Gaga and Elton.

Who said that she should dumb herself down to Anaconda/SINTS level? And what will happen when she collabs with elton john? She will become a legend? Hell no. IMO Gags is hell of scared that she wont survive another floppage hence thats why she doesnt want to collab with Britney. Instead of having the 'just sit and watch how I come back where I used to be, at the top' she is just running because artpop flopped.

I seriously don't get why people are getting so frustrated by the comment about her not going POP next era. Adele's 21 is not POP, BEYONCÉ is not POP either. They are still popular music. Just find some new music that inspires you and makes u happy like I did (Marina, Taylor etc. ) and wait for Gaga's next album ... As long as it's original music and is her next solo release, all good. The simple fact that she said backstage that she don't want to say anything about it, the album being planned out, and her comment about people always "sniffing around" should make you excited about it. You really think she'd be saying that if she wasn't coming for POP radio with her next lead single ? See how people started doing dance after she smashed. See how people starter writing empowerment anthems after she announced Born This Way, see how artists started being "more authentic" and "original" after Adele smashed. Gaga is coming.

P.S. A dance Britney collab will flop just as hard as Can't remember to forget u. On the other hand an Elthon John collab can either slay or not, both ways it will have less "attention" from the Media - which is good. And it will be more acclaimed than a Britney collab - which is good. You really expect Gaga to collab with Britney after C2C ? Is that why adults are praising her currently ? Just so she can go back to basic POP ? I am more here for revolutionary POP. Bring the piano, the guitars etc.

Lady Gaga and Britney Spears would flop as bad as Elton John at this point, let's not get this twisted. Love Britney but she's not at a high point either. I would feel worse seeing something as star studded as BS/LG flop or sound bad when, at least IMHO, they both aren't surrounded by the best pop producers. Save that for when you're on your A game.

Pop means popular music so people who wants pop wants her to do popular music. All these albums you named are pop with other influences (some stronger, some less) that's what we want from LG5, or at least me, a pop(ular music) album.

People don't care who you collaborated with, either a has been, a legend, an indie, want important to them is the music is good, relatable and they can bop too. Gaga don't need a Katy or a Rih collab, she need to put out great music and very easy to relate and to digest.

BEYONCE wouldn't be POP if it flopped. Same for 21. Whereas ARTPOP IS POP and it's a flop.

If Gaga's next album is successful it will be POP and if it's not then it won't be pop, as simple as that.

If she releases a classical rock song and it smashes on radio (as a lead single) her POP comeback will be full force. Otherwise no.. The genre doesn't really matter, when her name is Lady Gaga. As I sad if its original music and her next ofifcial SOLO release, then it will have all the attention etc. to be considered POP even if its rock influenced. And if she is keeping it a secret, then do u really think she is not coming for POP radio etc. . .

And if you want POP like what's on POP radio currently, or what she used to make or what her peers are making, then you will be dissapointed.
