Almost 8000 people have signed a petition launched by three students in Leeds, demanding that lingerie company Victoria's Secret apologise for their 'Perfect Body' advertising campaign. The petition criticises the advertisement for its "narrow standard of beauty" and for perpetuating "low self esteem." The advertisement shows three women wearing Victoria's Secret lingerie, but campaigners have said that the poster "fails to celebrate the amazing diversity of women’s bodies by choosing to call only one body type 'perfect'". Victoria’s Secret is hugely popular among young women, and they have a crucial responsibility to not use harmful and unhealthy ideas to market their products. uhm no. I'm sorry but a designer should be allowed to showcase whatever he/she wants and people need to reach those needs to be able to model for them. That's just how it works. I feel sorry for anyone who gets affected by that kind of things but that's just how it is, so move along. I don't have the perfect body at all, I'm very skinny etc. and even if I see all those perfect male models I can get frustrated but that's just how things are. Just grow up and move on with your life.
