The only headphones that lasted me more than a year were the Beats Tour, and tbh they're a bit overated even though they look nice as hell.
I have a collection of broken headphones though, they are are tangled in a big ball that I like to keep in my room, and everytime a new pair gets broken I add it to the big ball. Some of them bring me good memories.
You can do almost anything to it, it will never break. The wires are insane and also detachable from both sides, so you will never pull them out and break by accident: they will just pop out of their sockets.
They are actually marketed as a tank, and every little bit is well protected. You can drop them from second floor.. you can twist wires a million times (official numbers)... you can fully stretch the headband flat up to 10 times without damaging it. And they are surprisingly light. Let me not get into sound quality, cause they are superb in that department and defecate on trash like Beats any time any day.
Im so mad, my headphones broke in on ear and require me to wiggle the wires around to work and hold it there and im so mad. why cant the wires be made of metal so they dont break like wtf i paid 40$ for them to break every three months im so mad

do they have in ear ones??? i dont like walking around in public with huge things on my head
If you like actual headphones rather than earbuds, you should go for something with a detachable cable. It's usually just the cable that breaks, so you can replace that.
You should try overhead tho. They are very "low footprint" on your head and don't stick out that much. Besides, you shouldn't care about things like that. Everyone does it these days.
Because everything is designed to break in order to generate profit from consumers re-buying their goods.
V-Moda sends you parts that break for free (not that they break easily). Their Skype support is called 6-star support and it sure feels like it. I never met any business this friendly and supportive. I damaged the the cushions on my headphones with sharp zipper, they sent replacement for free. The button on the wire got exhausted (i skip tracks about a million times a day), they sent replacement for free.. internationally. No questions asked.
Some of them bring me good memories.
