Like, 90% of his fanbase are young women so the fact that they think he's just doing it for his gay fans...
If he never mentioned his gay fans, they'd say he's homophobic (even tho he has ALWAYS supported gay people since his Broadway days) and when he does (which happened like twice, it's not like he mentions them in every interview, they think he's desperate to get them
