Hugamari reviews - 1989
Tracks 1-5
1. Welcome to New York - Well it's exceeded expectations...I expected guitars and there weren't. Only really positive thing I can say about it. I personally feel like there was a lack of breakdowns, autotune, and vocal glitches; will rightfully assume that the whole album will lack these qualities, and that will drag the whole album down. (6.5/10)
2. Blank Space - WHAT KIND OF SMASH?! THIS SOUNDS SO FRESH!!...for 2008. Pretty dated sounding

Natasha Bedingfield would do a good job with it methinks. (5/10)
3. Style - Even though I am grading more harshly since this has been hailed as the best thing since sliced bread, I would've gave this song a solid 9...if the whole song was as good as the verses. The chorus ruined it for me.

(7.5/10)
4. Out of the Woods - Most uneventful song of the album so far. Left little-to-no impression on me. Will forget what it sounds like by the time the album is done. (5/10)
5. All You Had To Do Was Stay - Can't remember this song enough to give an opinion. (5.5/10)
6. Shake It Off - Legit the best song from this album so far, not that it says much. (8/10) (Being generous here)
