Her album really is incredible guys. I bet a lot of you are letting your perception of her (or maybe the sound of Welcome to New York ) influence your decision and attitude towards listening to/buying 1989. But honestly, it's incredible.

& I still haven't bought ARTPOP. But neither have most people...
All of you trying to come for me for saying Do What U Want is her best song need to re-watch all her performances of it, all the remixes and all the video snippets while repenting and burning your Alejandro candles.
And if the video was released, that would be her best video as well. FACT.

Gypsy lasting longer means that more people like it.
I'm on your side of course, Gypsy > Venus. But the only reason Gypsy lasted longer on iTunes is because it was performed more and had more exposure. It's also far more 'generic' than Venus - not saying that' a bad thing, Gypsy is one of my favourites on ARTPOP. But that's why it was more popular.
The most viewed video from the artRave (Applause has 2 mil, this has 6 mil), her vocals are amazing, she nails the choreography and the crowd is living for it. The outro is life too. Her wig is a travesty but the same can be said for all of that night. Not the song's fault.
