The media and GP really mocked her for no reason besides standing up for gay rights and self-expression before it was popular to do so. Now, everyone is preaching about gay rights and being unique, yet they all hated on her.
She's a quality musician, she is a quality person, and her impact on our generation has been nothing but positive.

the media mocked gaga for standing up against gay rights? she made gay equality popular? people NEED to respect gaga?
Wow. It explains why she said it even more. She only wants the praise and sympathy. And media and GP never mock her. She's one of the lucky ones. You have no idea how harsh media can get. They're handling her with the sweetest kid gloves.

Im not that surprised, her attitude, constant need for attention and validation has indicated that she is very insecure and I think she had mentioned being depressed before.
However, my feelings are mixed. I feel sympathy for her because I suffered from depression myself after my uncle commited suicide, but the way she often uses the victim card for attention makes me uncomfortable and suspicious.

Exactly.
