I do prefer his BV and THEOL stuff still.
But I'm sooo eager for more.
I think he's adding more bluesy elements to his music (like his live performance of Jesus is My Brother or whatever it was called). I'm definitely stoked to hear the rest of Cupied Carries a Gun.
