I was so angry when MadTV got cancelled back in the day..
Feeling left with SNL I was even more mad. I had asked why would they cancel MadTV when SNL is not even funny.. but I know they aren't on the same network and Fox sucks.
Anyway.. I'm curious.. Why do you guys like it? It's not even funny.
Yeah SNL is a classic show and will go on just like the Simpsons. Sometimes their sketches are funny sometimes they are not. But yeah MadTV was the best show!

I only watch it if an artist I like is performing but it's a bit of a struggle how one performance is at the beginning and one is at the end.
I dont like SNL. I had it on mute last night waiting for Iggy's performances while i was on the computer, sometimes i would look at the tv and the skits and i could just tell how corny and boring they were even when the TV was on mute.
MadTV became AWFUL by the final series. SNL has great moments: most Will Ferrell sketches, Tina Fey as Palin, Kristen as Kathy Lee Gifford (or almost any of her recurring characters), Stefon/Drunk Uncle/walk-ons during Weekend Update, etc.
It banks viewers due to no competition without MadTV and by centering episodes around big stars (usually). It's a great snapshot of pop culture at the time too, which made re-runs popular pre-Youtube channel.
