04. Mariah Carey “Bye Bye”
I was really into Bye Bye when I first heard it, and I have to admit I shed some tears listening to it. Probably the most emotional song of the year for me. Bye Bye is a song that everyone can relate to. When you listen to it, you will reminisce all your loved ones who are already gone. With just the opening line
"This is for my people who just lost somebody", it will really get into your heart. For me, the line that struck me most is "This is for my people who lost their grandmothers" because I remember my loving grandma. This is a personal for Mariah Carey as she dedicated this to his father and to her loved ones. She even mentioned that Bye Bye is for everyone, reminding us that even though our beloved ones are gone, we shouldn't say farewell because they will always remain in our hearts. This song is so great, however it failed to have the popularity like her previous ballads. But even so, you have to admit that this is a great song from Mariah Carey.

03. Leona Lewis “Bleeding Love”
Bleeding Love was a smash hit late in 2007 in the UK, but Leona Lewis decided to release it in the Us early in 2008. With this reason, I started to listening to Bleeding Love and day after day, it started to grow on me. Leona sings about the hurt of being in love with the person. The chorus line
"Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love" is really infectious that makes this song easily to sing along with. Leona delivered a powerful vocals for this one giving it emotion and life. Written by Ryan Tedder and Jesse McCartney, Bleeding Love became a worldwide hit. Leona had a great accomplish as a new artist, very impressive don't you think. 2008 was definitely a great year for her and if she continues to deliver emotional ballads like Bleeding Love in the future, I'm sure I will adore it and she will definitely made it to my list.
