Maroon 5 f/ Rihanna "If I Never See Your Face Again"
- Making to my top five of my best list is Maroon 5's collaboration with Rihanna. When I first heard the news about their collaboration, I was like insane waiting for both the music video and the song to come out. Both Maroon 5 and Rihanna became my favorite artists during their debut #1 singles in 2007. The track tries to tell a person getting separated from another one but it's okay since they got more than they wanted from that person. Everytime I listen to this track, I always sing to it. This is the highest charting male band single from my Best of 2008 list.
"...If I never see your face again I don't mind... 'Cause we got much further than I thought we'd get tonight !! ..."
#04.
Britney Spears "Womanizer"
- Landing at the number four is from the controversial artist Ms. Spears again Who would've thought that she could be able to pull the trick this time? Yes, she did an amazing job for her first single. "Womanizer" is surely an addition to one's dictionary as a man who is fond of girls lol. Her music video for this one is magnificent as she have properly toned her body, have four personalities in the video similar to toxic, and danced once again. This is how we define a comeback single plus the live performances are very fine stepping stones again to getting her career back in track. I expect great achievements for Britney Spears this 2009
"...You say I'm crazy... I gotcha crazy... You're nothing but a... Womanizer !! ..."
#03.
Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love"
- If I would've done my Best of 2008 before December, this single wouldn't have even made it to my top twenty. As this song gets played more and more each day, it sounded better and better for me. Shortly after, it became one of my favorite singles of 2008 making it to the top three of my list. Another song for the broken hearted but the lyrics are really unique and easy to memorize while the beat is very catchy. Perfect single choice for the artist. Truly, Simon did not a mistake introducing this artist to the world. Love her voice, her attitude and her first single
"...Well I don't care what they say... I'm in love with you..."
Stay tuned tomorrow for the two remaining songs that made it to my Official Top 20
